I recently received the Miu Miu Vitello Lux Shopper from my generous benefactor (my super awesome dad!). It comes in an array of colors for Spring/Summer 2010 but the one I have here is called Lacca. This one's more of a cherry red as opposed to a true red. And while I'm usually more drawn towards the muted reds, this one offers a nice change. I would say this reminds me of Rachel Bilson's Phillip Lim satchel (which i adore!)
It comes with a detachable strap so you can choose to either carry it as a satchel, or sling it around messenger-style. The material is a distressed leather giving it a broken-in, casual vibe. Its surprisingly roomy and a lot easier to get in and out of compared to the popular Miu Miu Bow bag. Most bags nowadays seem to have a detachable shoulder strap which is really useful for when we want to give our hands a break. The style is similar to the ubiquitous Balenciaga City bag especially with its distressed leather and hardware. It's a good alternative for those who find Balenciaga overexposed.
I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive about the color when I first received it. But it's truly growing on me. Its such a standout color that it would definitely make a statement against any outfit. I can see myself getting a lot of mileage out of this in the days to come.
